Position Summary:
F5 is building a next-generation hybrid cloud software and hardware platform, and we are the team making that happen. Join our established global UX team to help design, craft, and evolve the F5 product user experience.

Your role:
We’re looking for a seasoned UX generalist who can drive an end-to-end UX project, act as product owner when needed, and share our expertise with developers and product management. We’re breaking new ground while taking the best features of our current products and imagining them for a technology landscape with the future in mind.
You will closely collaborate with product managers and product owners, other UX designers, and developers - delivering designs, guiding implementations, testing concepts, and leading stakeholder reviews and design workshops. You will ensure that UX stays aligned with product strategy and vision, user expectations, and business objectives.
You will also thrive in a place where your colleagues recognize your contributions, trust your analytical skills, and support your growth.
What you will do:
- design user interface systems and experiences that support multi-modal inputs by utilizing strong user interface/visual/interaction design skills to deliver design specifications for developers
- conceive elegant, effective visual ways to showcase our prototypes and products, highlight features, and inspire consumers
- ability to convey complex AR concepts in various styles and mediums such as wireframes, flows, storyboards, mockups, illustration, 3D assets, video, animation, etc., is a plus.
- collaborate closely with Product Management, Development, Support, Marketing, and other parts of the organization to design and build an outstanding experience in line with business strategy and user needs
- acquire, synthesize, and communicate a deep understanding of business requirements and their alignment with user needs to our scrum teams
- take stewardship of a compelling experience for customers and teams
- join UX colleagues in solving complex design problems in a manner that is, ideally, embraced, and reproducible across F5 product organizations
- partner with designers and developers to ensure all parties speak the same user-centered language
- deliver wireframes and prototypes for review with partners and assist scrum teams in interpreting requirements and deliverables
- anything else you put your mind to - F5 is where you can grow.
What you should have:
- 5+ years of UX experience in an enterprise or global corporate setting
- experience working with 3D and VR assets, game design experience, interaction, AR/VR, and new input methods such as camera sensors, controllers, and hand tracking is a plus
- a demonstrated history of working directly with customers to understand their context and needs
- proficiency inside iterative design processes, agile methodologies, and the tools that support them
- adaptability to shifting priorities and tasks
- solid experience in user-centered design for adaptable enterprise apps
- keen understanding of Information Architecture, Interaction Design, and Visual Design principles
- ability to adapt a design to the scenario and explain it in the language of your desired audience
- ability to set aside personal aesthetic preference over the needs of the user
- familiarity with our design and prototyping tools (we use Figma for most everything) or the ability and willingness to learn
- firm grasp on front-end technologies and standards: HTML5, CSS3, JSON, 508 Accessibility, ADA compliance, etc.
- an empathetic, user-centered mindset
