We are looking for an exceptional Senior Software Engineer who can design, develop and test software for our industry leading laser beam profiling systems. Responsibilities include:


  • Developing software programs to meet the requirements and constraints of the customer scope of work
  • Working with our beam profiling technologies; learning new measurement methodologies and implementing advanced algorithms.
  • Work within a highly skilled team to accomplish all the deliverables throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (design, development, testing, and implementation)
  • Developing solutions to complex scientific problems
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected


What you will bring to the team, along with your curiosity and excitement for science and technology:


  • The desire to grow and expand your knowledge base
  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience
  • Experience with all aspects of a Software Development Life Cycle (design, development, testing, and implementation)
  • Software development expertise with a deep understanding of either C++, VB.Net, Java, or C#. We are a C# shop developing desktop scientific applications for laser diagnostics.
  • Expertise in GUI (WPF) development is a plus
  • Experience in image processing a plus
  • Experience with optics a plus
  • Experience with OOD, TDD and CI a plus
  • Experience with Agile Development and Scrum a plus


This position offers flexible work options allowing for on-site and/or remote work. Even if remote based, we are seeking candidates commutable to our N. Logan, UT location as candidates will be expected to be on-site as necessary.
