Job Description
Facebook Reality Lab is looking for upcoming scientists and researchers with great interest in developing high-performance image sensors for computer vision algorithms on AR/VR devices, specifically around the below research areas:-Pixel design of high-performance global shutter image sensors.Readout circuit design of high-performance global shutter image sensors.Ultra-low power image sensor architectures.
Research Scientist Intern, Image Sensor Design (PhD) Responsibilities:
- Investigating and proposing novel global shutter pixel architectures.
- Design and simulation of global shutter pixels in advanced process nodes.
- Pixel layout and size optimization.
- Analysis of novel ultra-low power image sensor architectures.
- Experimenting new operation schemes with existing image sensors.
- Collaboration with and support of other researchers across various disciplines.
- Communication of research agenda, progress and results.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.
- 2+ years of independent research experience on analog/mixed circuit design.
- Experience with circuit design CAD tools such as Cadence Virtuoso.
- Programming, simulation and modeling experience using Python or Matlab.
- Interpersonal skills: cross-group and cross-culture collaboration.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in image sensor design.
- Image sensor tape out experience and image sensor characterization experience.
- Track record of publications with cutting edge research results at conferences and Journals such as IISW, ISSCC, IEDM, JSSC, TED.
