Virtual/Augmented Reality Subject Matter Expert

CeresEd is an award-winning educational content development company located in Austin, Texas. We serve the K12 and adult learning markets, taking on large-scale product development projects for the world's leading educational content providers. Our mission is to bring new voices into the world of educational content creation so that all students feel seen, included, and valued.

Our client is seeking a subject matter expert to work with their team on developing an online module on virtual/augmented reality in research, healthcare, and other settings. The module will provide an overview of VR/AR technology and applications, ethical issues, and governance approaches. This candidate will work with our client to develop a module outline and author the course.

Type of Course: Single Module

Rough Timeline: September 2022 to March 2023

Job Type: Contract basis (not full-time)

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of work and/or school experience in VR/AR
• Bachelor’s degree or credible certification in VR/AR field
• Ability to contribute to high-quality deliverables with minimal direction
• Experience collaborating with instructional designers and/or curriculum developers
• Highly knowledgeable and can act as the go-to person for VR/AR resources and fact checking

Preferred Qualifications:

• Teaching experience
• Master’s degree in VR/AR
