As a production company we work directly with brands and marketing agencies to produce immersive and engaging experiences. Through previous works, we have built relationships with some of the biggest marketing agencies who invite us to collaborate on marketing campaigns to typically fill the AR, 3D portion of campaign briefs.
WKND HRS is seeking a contract Augmented Reality Designer / Creator / Developer to help conceptualize and create Social Lens experiences to build engaging AR campaigns on Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and TikTok. You will work to design and filter experiences. You will support our design and development teams by implementing and suggesting best practices for creating new Social AR/Lens content. You will develop lens and experiences for campaigns we are currently working on and bids we are seeking to win.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Creative and Production teams to concept and create AR experiences that deliver solutions for our clients
- Collaborate with the creative team to showcase new features and provide input and validation for future features and use-cases
- Support our Production & Development teams in the building of a scalable production pipeline for Social AR/Lens experiences
- Support design and production of client projects using tools such as Spark AR, SnapChat Lens Creator, and TikTok Effect Creator
- Provide solid estimates for design and production tasks to inform the schedule and management of various projects, working with a team of producers who will be managing day-to-day production tasks and activities
- Research and evaluate new software platforms such as Tiktok Effect House to widen subject matter expertise on social AR development
What we are looking for:
- Experience working in Social AR Platforms (Spark AR, Snap Lens Studio, Effect House) Examples of previous work required
- Knowledge or proficiency with 2D content creation (animation, typography, photo editing, illustration) using Adobe Creative Cloud tools such as After Effects, Photoshop & Illustrator, etc
- 3D modeling and animation background or proficiency as they relate to implementation into filters (Optional)
- Computer Arts background (light coding experience a plus!)
- Ability to art direct AR concepts
- Ability to start from a blank slate and repurpose existing customer creative assets to generate a polished experience
- Understanding of what works visually on social media platforms
- Ability to work well as an individual and as part of a team
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Self starting / learning ability to create without roadblocks, in addition to the ability to suggest new ideas and features with the ever-evolving toolsets used to create Social AR content and experiences
- Creative thinking and an innate instinct for what looks good
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Knowledge of social platforms and their unique quirks as they apply to user interactions
- Relationships and knowledge of the social lens community
