As the Metaverse Privacy Strategy Manager, you’ll lead a team of strategists working to build a healthy Metaverse and XR experience from the earliest days of its development. You’ll join a broader team of strategists who help shape privacy strategy for what we build in Reality Labs.
Manager, Metaverse Privacy Strategy Responsibilities:
- Partner with product leaders to develop and drive the holistic privacy strategy for the metaverse and its constituent product groups.
- Drive cross-RL positioning on privacy sensitive topics particularly relevant to the Metaverse (e.g., identity authentication).
- Develop principles and implement frameworks for building privacy and other responsible innovation topics into the product development process.
- Drive our cross-functional approach to privacy in new and existing features.
- Work with product leadership to identify, escalate, and resolve tension between product objectives and privacy principles.
- Help establish and direct long-term goals of product and engineering teams as they relate to privacy.
- Build and manage relationships with leaders throughout Reality Labs, and across Meta.
- Identify opportunities for organizational growth and drive creative and scalable improvements.
- Apply industry expertise to influence privacy considerations in product development.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 8+ years experience in technology with an advanced degree or 10+ years experience in the technology sector with a bachelor's degree.
- Experience working in safety, privacy, integrity, policy, and/or ethics.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and interacting with product, engineering, user research, legal, communications, and policy teams.
- Experience managing a team of senior ICs, presenting to and counseling organizational leaders at the VP level.
- Experience managing technical programs and building consensus among stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in public policy, law, business, or ethics.
- Experience in AR, VR, social, smart home devices, or related technologies.
- Experience producing guidance under deadlines.
- Experience influencing technical audiences.
- Experience with social technology and gaming.
