Ready At Dawn is looking for a Character Artist to help build the future of social and competitive multiplayer gaming in VR! The ideal candidate in this role is an experienced Character Artist in games, with a balance of hard surface, organic modeling, and texturing skills and an eye for both aesthetics and technical optimization. With a team culture driven by collaboration, and success in this role with require working alongside other teams such as concept, design, gameplay, and rigging to create the most compelling player driven avatars for the Echo VR franchise!

Character Artist - Ready at Dawn Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Design and Concept teams for early exploration and prototyping of a diverse range of player avatar designs
• Using Maya, ZBrush, and Substance painter create high fidelity avatar models, with an emphasis on unique player expression in VR
• Work closely with the tech art team to ensure character designs rig and deform well in game and meet technical performance guidelines
• Further support 3D asset creation in the Echo VR world with items, equipment, and set pieces for new gameplay experiences
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience as a Character artist in games, using a real-time authoring toolset (ex: Unreal, Unity, etc) and Maya, ZBrush, and Substance (or equivalent packages)
• Portfolio that demonstrates a breadth of both technical and artistic execution of Character Art
• Interest in games and the future of Virtual Reality
