Genesis10 is currently looking for a Hybrid Remote Program Manager-UX Augmented Reality with our client, the world's leading search engine and technology company located in Mountainview, CA.  THIS IS A HYBRID REMOTE ROLE REQUIRING TO BE ONSITE IN NEW YORK 3 TIMES A WEEK.  This is a 12-month contract role with possible contract extension. SUMMARY

 

The Augmented Reality (AR) Team is working on the future of consumer electronics and our client's central role in this new ecosystem.

They build innovative hardware and software to help make computing more perceptive, immersive, and accessible.

This UX PgM role will partner with UX leads to build, refine, and operate processes to manage design, prototyping & research on highly complex, cutting-edge hardware & software products.

You will work closely with a variety of engineering, product management, marketing, and creative teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

As a UX Program Manager, you will combine expert project management skills with a passion for user experience to help your team improve the design of products that are used by billions of users.

You'll plan projects, define milestones, assess risks, create actionable insights, and ensure projects meet deadlines.

You'll harmonize the work of UX Designers, Researchers, Content Strategists, UX Engineers, and other UX disciplines, while also working closely with our Engineering and Product Manager cross-functional partners, to drive UX team objectives and create innovative experiences for our business, products, and users.

Manage highly complex UX programs across Research, Design, Writing and UX Engineering.

Work with UX leads to design and implement processes, tools, and documentation to increase the team's efficiency and impact.

Act as a bridge between UX, Engineering, and Product Management teams, connecting groups, advocating for UX and clarifying and managing interdependencies

Provide clear communication to cross-functional team leads and leadership regarding priorities, status, issues, and risks.

Facilitate communication and decision-making with leaders, teams, and stakeholders.

Collaborate with UX team leads on UX planning and strategy.

Coordinate and support UX team meetings, critiques, design reviews.

Partner on cultivation of the UX's team culture and wellbeing.

As a UX Program Manager, you will provide program management leadership and operational support for a multidisciplinary UX team working on AR.

You'll have ownership over a highly complex set of programs while being supported by a community of PgMs.

Work with UX leads to design and implement processes, tools, and documentation to increase the team's efficiency and impact.

Provide clear communication to cross-functional team leads and leadership regarding priorities, status, issues, and risks.

Coordinate, support and (often) facilitate UX team meetings, critiques, design reviews.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

2-5 years of program management experience.

Experience managing interactive, design, and/or creative projects.

Experience using Google Suite (docs, sheets, slides) to help teams run effectively.

Experience with UX design, user research, and/or user-centered development tools and processes.

Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp).

 

DESIRED

 

Experience with managing user interface design, embedded systems HW/SW, user research, hardware/industrial design, platform design, or speculative design processes.

Experience working with cross-functional and interdisciplinary teams (e.g. software engineers, product managers, etc.).

Ability to work on tasks that are not clearly defined but can help to drive clarity within those initiatives.

Experience with UX design and research disciplines, tools, and processes.

Experience managing cutting-edge or R&D programs.

Experience using project management tools (Asana or similar) and design-related software (Figma).
