In this highly visible role as a CAD Engineer in Micron’s Non-Volatile Engineering Group, you will utilize your hands-on experience in the development and maintenance of our Calibre DRC/LVS rules sets. These advanced flows will be utilized by our engineers worldwide. You will work cross functionally with Layout Engineers and Process Integration Engineers when implementing and defining new process node files.

As a CAD Engineer in Physical Verification Center of Excellence at Micron, you will collaborate with various design and verification teams all over the world, developing, enhancing and debugging both in-house and commercial EDA tools and flows for the design, layout, and verification of CMOS and Memory circuits.

Responsibilities And Tasks Include, But Not Limited To

  • Develop Physical Verification tools, flows, and methodologies for the next generation DRAM, NAND and Emerging memory designs.
  • Work closely with design, layout, verification, modeling, and process teams in product development and verification.
  • Develop rule decks and guide the design teams across Micron on DRC/LVS/PERC checks.
  • Evaluate EDA industry product offerings, and opportunities for gaining quality, performance and efficiency

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of direct CAD and Physical Verification rule deck (DRC/LVS) development experience.
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of verification methodologies, flows and quality metrics.
  • Knowledge/experience in developing and debugging Antenna/ESD/LUP checks.
  • Knowledge of rule deck development using TVF or parasitic extraction would be a plus.
  • Good communication and problem solving skills are required
  • Drive to continuously learn, develop new skills and self-improve!

Education

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
