The Space Dynamics Laboratory is seeking a qualified graduate or undergraduate student for an immediate part-time position (up to 20 hours per week during school) and 40 hours during the summer months in Logan, UT. Qualified applicants will have the opportunity to help perform research and development for next generation 3D mixed reality applications and tools to benefit the DoD.
Required Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree (BS or MS) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or related field at USU
- Knowledge of 3D programming, 3D algorithms, and 3D engine technology
- Development experience with mixed reality applications on a mixed reality device
- Familiarity with 3D modelling and animation tools
- Ability to participate in team-based research and software development using agile development methodologies
- Willingness to learn quickly and figure things out
- Possess familiarity with basic administration tasks for both Windows and Linux
- Must be a U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in one or more of C++, C, C#, Python, JavaScript
- UI/UX
- Graphic Design
- Ability to operate and develop in Linux and Windows operating systems
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
