Job Description

First Contact Entertainment is a Next Gen Video Game Developer that specializes in VR content and Games as a Service. Our team consists of veteran developers with many years experience on many Major Game titles. We are seeking a Senior Game Server Engineer to help us create and support the high-end VR multiplayer games.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain game server code with emphasis on stability, performance and scalability
• Work with external vendors/teams to develop and integrate platform specific online service features
• Work with gameplay engineering and design teams to develop server features for gameplay

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Self-motivated and passionate to learn and solve problems
• Demonstrate proficiency with game client-server architecture and network optimization
• Experience with multithreaded programming and network communication protocols
• Strong object-oriented programming background and proven experience to write reliable, performant and well documented code

DESIRED SKILLS

• Experience with networking in Unreal Engine 4
• Experience in developing multiplayer video games, especially VR titles
• Experience working with PlayStation Network, XBox Live and Valve Steamworks
• Experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc)
