SUMMARY


As Trigger’s Senior Director of Production, you will be a member of Trigger’s leadership team focused on empowering a team of Producers to do their best work while overseeing the full lifecycle of our projects.

This role interfaces with cross-functional teams that include Business Development, XR Innovation, Product, Creative, and Technology.

The ideal candidate will possess the ability to see the bigger picture and influence/evolve overall department processes while providing support and guidance to the team in a detailed, hands-on manner.

People management and coaching will be paramount as this candidate focuses on the success of both the department and of our project deliveries.


This role reports to our CEO & Executive Creative Director.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of Producers, helping them grow in their careers at Trigger, per the team’s needs
  • Monitor workload and assignments across an internal team of Producers
  • Manage the scaling of the department through hires and contractors
  • Oversee multiple production projects concurrently, and help keep control of their budgets
  • Partner with Producers and other departments’ team leads to define project strategy
  • Define the future direction, growth opportunities, and structure of the Production department
  • As part of Trigger’s Leadership Council, collaborate to help set the direction of the company
  • Support the creation of documentation and training materials for the Production department
  • Respond to escalated project issues that may impede project delivery and coordinate solutions
  • In collaboration with HR, participate in hiring, onboarding, and training of Digital Producers


REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience building and leading large scale production teams or departments (experience with rapid growth phase at another company is a plus)
  • Extensive background in project management / production
  • Experience with project / program management in an agency environment, with multiple concurrent interactive projects for a wide variety of clients
  • Strong interest in innovation and production optimization
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodology and ability to refine its use on an ongoing basis 
  • Ability to provide team leadership to reach consensus
  • A highly organized person who enjoys the challenge of problem solving
  • Ability to maintain team morale through enthusiasm, optimism, and authority in the face of challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage in healthy conflict resolution
  • Capable of building strong collaborative relationships with peers across Trigger
  • A love for the intersection of tech, entertainment, toys, games, and pop culture


Desired Qualifications

  • PMP, Agile Project Management or equivalent certification is a plus
  • Experience with a variety of products and projects in the AR, VR, gaming, and entertainment space is a plus
  • Experience working in tandem with a product department is a plus
