Job Description

SUMMARY:

• At Meta AR/VR Hardware, we’re developing the future of Portal, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) products.
• As a Display Optical Programming Engineer, you will be a member of our Display Hardware Team, taking a lead in validating OLED display lifetime and working with current and evolving ecosystem to provide differentiating capabilities to our HW platforms.
• You will be a part of a tight-knit group of highly talented engineers at the forefront of the innovation for Meta HW products (AR/VR, portal etc.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze non-uniform panel characteristics by taking display panel gray level images
• Troubleshoot camera hardware issues such as moire or pixel-to-ccd mismatch
• Program image processing algorithm from camera image
• Conduct correlation modeling between display panel and camera image
• Work closely with display algorithm engineers
• Place an order of optical equipment and proceed purchase order
• Communicate with other department and vendors for equipment design and placement order
• Work on-site every day

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience
• Familiar with high-resolution camera principle with lens
• Knowledge of image processing algorithms
• Experience in C/C++ programming skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent cross-functional teamwork skills

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience in theoretical analysis using Matlab
• Experience in display pixel camera inspection tool
