Job Description
- Develop effective merchandising programs to help seller brand and product promotions
- Manage product merchandising on high impact campaigns (i.e., managing daily deals or similar type of exposures)
- Coordinate with marketing team to execute merchandising programs and evaluate and identify deals for external advertising
- Manage key tab or category stores
- Identify and handle production and supply difficulties
- Manage process for supplying and managing seller content on Newegg websites
- Review key competitors’ site on daily basis and use info to more competently merchandise company website and marketing vehicles
- Maximize income of MDF and other incentives through innovative merchandising program initiatives and effective selling
- Responsible for accurate tracking and utilization of MDF and Co-op accounts for assigned sellers; increase participation and funding levels for all assigned sellers equal to or greater than company forecasts
- Develop and implement merchandising team reporting such as performance measurement reports
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or merchandising or 5+ years relevant experience
- 3+ years of merchandising experience in an IT e-commerce environment, with experience dealing with major brand vendors
- 1+ year of experience managing vendor P&L including MDF and Co-op accounts and utilization
- Extensive knowledge of various e-commerce marketing opportunities as well traditional media
- Able to compose and communicate analysis on internal and external trend changes
- Understanding of Marketing Principles and Retailing
- Ability to build relationships and maintain strong partnerships
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
- Detail and result oriented with sense of urgency
- Excellent analytical, organizational and coordination skills
- Team-oriented and able to work in cross-functional environment
Essential Mental & Physical Function
Mental Functions: Decisions may affect a work unit or area within a department. May contribute to business and operational decisions that affect the department. This position performs a variety of routine duties within established policies and procedures or by referral to the supervisor's guidelines.
Physical Functions: Sitting is required 90% of the time. Walking and standing required 5% of the time respectively. No heavy lifting is required. Constant keyboarding and telephone usage.
