Job Description
- Conduct advanced R&D research for interactive mixed reality research, with focus on real-time human machine interaction (HMI)
- Investigate how computer vision and machine learning can enhance intuitive human machine interactions
- Apply research results to real-world applications with high quality implementation
- Integrate the resulting system/software into existing Bosch platform
- Summarize research findings in high-quality publications and/or patent submissions
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Hands-on experience working with HoloLens or other AR glasses.
- Solid C++/C# programming skills, knowledge in python and/or other languages is a plus.
- Strong front end UI design and programming skills
- Experience in working with hardware systems including wireless connected devices, sensors such as RGBD cameras, depth sensors, IMU, etc.
- Ph.D. student or advanced Master student in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related fields (Must be a current student or recent graduate – less than 1 year)
Preferred Qualifications
- Publication record in top venues including SIGGRAPH, CVPR, ICCV, ICRA, ISMAR, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR, TVCG.
- Strong system and/or graphics programming skills, real-time or embedded programming is also a plus
- Experience on developing perception algorithms, including deep learning approaches for detection, segmentation, tracking, recognition, from 2D, 2.5D, and/or 3D data
- Proficient with deep learning libraries (Pytorch, TensorFlow, MXNet, Caffe, etc.)
- Able to work independently, has strong research and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills, being able to work on-site of Bosch Research Center in Sunnyvale for few days a week
