It may sound like science fiction, but it’s a future that Meta is building inside our labs. Meta Reality Labs legal team is looking for a talented transactional attorney to support our rapidly growing and evolving augmented/virtual reality (ARVR) hardware development team that delivers the Oculus Quest, Portal and other ARVR products and services. The attorney will work closely with the business development, product, and supply teams as counsel on strategic partnership deals for the custom silicon development team.

Counsel, Reality Labs Responsibilities:

  • Lead the negotiation of complex commercial agreements for hardware development, procurement and strategic collaborations
  • Influence and build relationships with clients and cross-functional peers across Meta to drive strategies across multiple teams
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to analyze and communicate legal risks

Minimum Qualifications:

  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar
  • 3+ years of legal experience as a transactional attorney

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience, structuring, drafting, and negotiating technology licensing and other commercial agreements in support of product development
  • Technical background (computer science, electrical engineering preferred), with strong knowledge of semiconductor design and experience manufacturing or ramping on technical issues
  • In-house experience working for a technology company
  • Organizational skills, experience managing multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines
  • Communication skills, experience providing clear, concise and practical guidance
  • Experience working independently and also collaborating well cross-functionally
