Summary

We are looking for a skilled and motivated engineer to join our Object and Scene Understanding (OSU) team in building cutting edge technologies to understand the objects and scene for delivering unprecedented user experience of AR products. Our effort starts with building the first massive-scale egocentric dataset of objects and extend to productizing the state-of-the-art methods in computer vision and machine learning, including continual object detection & recognition, 3D object detection & pose estimation, personalized scene understanding, self-supervised pretraining for detection.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with third-party vendors and Data Engineers for building and maintaining the data pipelines of our dataset collection and annotation effort.
  • Work closely with a team of Research Scientists for benchmarking state-of-the-art methods on the dataset.
  • Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system.
  • Review project requests describing database user needs to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
Skills
  • Expert knowledge with large-scale automatic data pipelines and database development.
  • Expert knowledge of computer development software including python and SQL.
  • Expert knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as pytorch.
  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert ability to work independently and manage one's time.
  • Expert ability to troubleshoot issues and make system changes as needed to resolve issue.
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
