We are currently seeking multiple experienced Technology Product Managers to align tech development with future product requirements to develop technology roadmaps, to influence product roadmaps, represent the technology teams with our cross-functional partners, and deliver innovative technologies that support the RL product vision. Each of these full-time positions requires experience in the development and validation of complex subsystems and experiences in one of the Camera, Depth, Sensing, Audio or Wireless domains. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic cross-functional environment, and exhibit high signal-to-noise synthesis abilities and communication.
Technology Product Manager Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with technology development teams, as well as with product PM leads, system architects, and hardware product leads to:
- Align tech roadmap with future product requirements and targeted experiences
- own technology roadmaps plan of record (POR)
- define tech vision and strategy for innovation supporting each product vision and roadmap.
- Influence product roadmaps with a strong vision of future technologies.
- Represent technology teams at product planning meetings to identify and scope technology needs in early stages of product definition, propose solutions, gain alignment, set durable technology PORs, and communicate tech development plans. Facilitate data driven decisions to include and down select per product technology PORs.
- Translate technology PORs into new technology requirements and specifications, such that the tech architecture teams can start long lead tech development on time.
- Represent technology teams in external partner relationships.
- Lead technology investments business case and ROI decisions to facilitate management of the overall technology portfolio.
- Condense consumer pain points, customer requirements, competitive and industry landscape into compelling technology features and experiences needed for future devices.
- Communicate technology team’s strategy, roadmap, plans, and priorities to stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage multiple ongoing initiatives simultaneously, both product and platform centric.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in STEM field or imaging/audio related field.
- 5+ years of experience in technology development in any one of the following domains: cameras, depth, sensors, wireless, audio.
- 5+ years of customer-facing experience in technology product management or product management.
- Experience managing definition, integration and delivery of new technologies, from idea through development, integration, and launch into multiple consumer electronics products.
- Highly effective communication and presentation skills, with extensive experience in aligning and presenting to various stakeholders and leadership.
- Experience building relationships and influencing a matrix organization.
- Self-motivated, and experience working in a rapidly changing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS in STEM field.
- Experience managing technology roadmaps and portfolios.
- For Wireless positions: experience in vendor/OEM management, wireless module development (RF/Antenna/SW), product integration and certification.
- For Cameras positions: experience in high-volume photographic and/or machine vision imaging systems, and/or in image processing pipelines.
- For Depth positions: experience in consumer passive/active depth systems, and/or depth SW pipelines.
- For Sensors positions: experience with consumer-focused image, motion, and/or biometric sensor HW/SW development (mobile, wearable, IOT) and applications (tracking, health, photography).
- For Audio technology positions: experience in audio focused consumer or professional HW (phones, wearables, sound docks, hearables, and IOT) or DSP SW algorithms and experiences (gaming, sound enhancement, voice communication, voice control).
