Responsibilities:

As a Virtual Reality Software Engineer at RBI, you will be instrumental in the development and transitioning of solutions across all the company’s solution verticals. Your work will span multiple platforms and domains with solutions exhibiting varying levels of maturity, from prototyping novel virtual workflows to transitioning robust virtual environments to our nation’s warfighters. This position will initially support one of RBI’s current DoD contracts by developing virtual reality workflows to interact with advanced machine learning systems. In this role you will have the flexibility and freedom to tackle challenging problems as you see fit with the support and collaboration of a diverse team of engineers and scientists.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or similar engineering or science degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience or familiarity with one or more virtual reality development stacks from Unreal Engine, Unity, or OpenXR.
  • Experience developing and deploying virtual reality solutions to virtual reality headsets from Varjo, Microsoft, or Oculus.
  • Experience with one or more programming languages related to VR development, including but not limited to C#, C++, Python, Java, and/or JavaScript.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to design and execute a high-level research agenda.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
  • Assertive self-starter able to build ideas in a collaborative team environment.


Qualifications to Stand Out:

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mathematics, or similar engineering or science degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience creating and/or manipulating 3D objects in Gravity Sketch, Masterpiece Studio Pro, Autodesk VRED, Medium, Blender, or similar 3D modeling solution.


Security Requirement:

  • Must be a United States Citizen and be able to obtain a U.S. government security clearance.
