About the Position:

We are seeking a Practice Director who is a subject matter expert in Mixed Reality (AR/VR). As a Practice Director you will bring expertise to GenUI, and build & lead a team that will help our technology clients successfully reach their goals. Additionally, you will focus on deeply understanding our clients’ objectives, building trusting client relationships, providing subject matter expertise, scoping prospective projects, delivering amazing project work, and positioning GenUI as the “go to” consulting partner for bleeding edge projects across business and technology. You will spend your days with our clients to understand their environments & industry, recognize their opportunities & constraints, deliver on client projects, oversee our delivery work, develop & implement strategies that marry GenUI’s capabilities and client needs in the pursuit of building support the delivery of your given practice

Your Opportunities:

• Create the Go to Market strategy with an initial target of $2M-$3M in annual revenue. This includes partnering with the Business Development and Marketing to create solution offerings, support content, create target criteria and identify clients that need your expertise in the practice area.
• Collaborate across GenUI to leverage the collective expertise of the firm to help support the solution offerings in both sales and delivery.
• Spend 40% of your time participating in the projects you helped land and ensuring project success.
• Be on the forefront of your chosen technology field and expertise.
• Help impact the technology field by working on bleeding edge solutions.
• Be a Technology Evangelist and publish articles, attend and speak at technology conferences.
• Use your GenUI educational allowance to ensure you have the best and latest technical certifications.

Your Contribution:

• As a leader of a practice, build and be responsible for an initial annual portfolio of $3M - $5M. Ensure profitability and stability of the practice. Manage risk, and ensure the long-term viability of the practice.
• Help our clients be successful by ensuring GenUI builds the best in class and the right scalable solutions.
• Partner with Technical Program Managers, Product Design, UX Design, and Engineering and gather business requirements and create the project scope.
• Provide technical architecture and documentation as needed.
• Partner with Technical Program Managers to ensure our clients’ expectations are met and exceeded and our overall client satisfaction is high.
• Participate in project delivery and spend 40% of your time working on the exciting projects you helped land.
• Hire, shape and lead remote delivery teams. Ensure your team has career development and shape high performing individuals into high performing teams.

Your Experience:

• 7+ years technology experience in Mixed Reality (AR/VR)
• Prior consulting experience is required
• BA/BS Degree
• Author of 6+ technical publications.
• 2+ technical certifications in your area of expertise.
• 5+ years management/leadership experience
• 3+ years participating in solution-based sales, and helping identify and drive solutions for clients
• 2+ years of P&L responsibilities

Your Skills:

• A PASSION about your area of expertise and a desire to be a technical evangelist.
• Desire to be a Product Visionary and the Executive Sponsor who establishes the path, relationship, rules of engagement, clarifies product vision and holds the product vision through delivery.
• Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully across all levels of the organization
• Excellent negotiation, conflict management, problem solving and decision-making skills
• Proven track record of client/employee satisfaction
• Advanced project delivery experience
• Willingness and interest in team collaboration
