As the Vice President Engineering, you will work to expand and lead ar diverse Engineering team. This leader will be a strong people manager who is passionate about designing and scaling a successful engineering organization that meets the changing needs of customers and our business. The role will be an integral part of the Senior leadership team, partnering with others on that team to translate our company vision and strategy into engineering strategies that enable us to achieve our purpose at scale. Seeking a technical savvy leader to join a rapid growing organization.

What You Will Be Doing

Product Leadership

Provide a clear vision/roadmap for the engineering organization to meet market demands and ensure product development

Innovation and Continuous Improvement - Set up a culture that encourages innovation, curiosity and continuous improvement

Encourage development and team continuous education

Engineering Execution - Manage overall product development process: design, implementation, development and packaging for all product offerings

Deliver high quality simulation products under aggressive timelines and within budget

Current knowledge in AI, VR, AR, MR and MetaVerse and interest in expanding knowledge in those areas

Executive Leadership - Participate as a key member of the executive team

Organizational Leadership - Build and grow a team that spans software, hardware, mechanical, electrical and mechatronics engineering, across many competing product initiatives

Set up processes, infrastructure, and a culture that enables teams to collaborate effectively and perform at their best

Work closely and in partnership with other Company departments and divisions

Ensure the development of products that are flexible, scalable, and maintainable

Manage teams of high-performing engineers delivering highly innovative solutions from design to release across product areas

Project management-Coordinate multiple ongoing projects and deadlines

Develop project plans to be communicated and implemented by teams

Manage cross functional teams

What You Need for this Position

Master's Degree in an Engineering discipline - Ph.D. preferred

15+ years successful experience in a engineering environment within medical devices, robotics or simulator industries

Minimum of 5-10 years management and leadership experience in engineering

Thorough understanding of AI, VR, AR, and MR and how to best utilize these modalities in products

Strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem-solving skills

Experience with scoping large engineering projects

Deliver projects on time and within scope

Experience trading off a variety of key projects competing for a limited set or engineering resources

Ability to communicate with non-engineering members of the management team

Translate business requirements into engineering projects with specific requirements & scope, resources and project timing

Track record of hiring, developing and retaining strong teams
