Hanai World is a social, mixed reality, free-to-play, platform where individuals can meet, create, and connect through a wide variety of events and gatherings in the digital and physical space.  Leveraging the power of human connection, we aim to provide a variety of entertainment platforms and experiences that can be lived simultaneously in the real and virtual worlds. Our first physical location opens in May 2022 in Miami, FL in the Little Haiti neighborhood. The 15k sq ft multipurpose facility will be a live music event space, creative lab showcasing our products and experiences in development, volumetric video capture stage and video production stage, and flexible working spaces where creative technologists and content creators can collaborate.

About You:


You are an experienced network computer administrator with a passion for the music and visual arts. You are an expert at installing hardware and software systems across a wide range of manufacturers and operating systems. You’re known by your peers and clients as someone with ridiculously awesome troubleshooting skills, a penchant for tinkering with the leading edge of tech innovation, and patience for users of all levels of technology experience.


 

Your Mission:


Working with the Chief Product Officer and the Miami facility content production team, you will be the primary contact for all technical matters at the Miami facility. This is initially a part-time position with flexible hours, with the expectation that you are available during events and on call at other times.


 

Your Responsibilities:


  • Hardware operations maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment: projectors, projection systems, computer workstations, VR Headsets, AR Headsets, Audio /PA systems
  • Software operations and maintenance of workstations and headsets, software for video capturing and streaming.
  • 3D volumetric camera rig setup, calibration, and maintenance - starting with MS Azure Kinect, but evolving into future cameras and sensors. Responsible for setup, takedown, and troubleshooting 3 and 5 camera rig systems.
  • Internet bandwidth maintenance: measure and track up and down bandwidth usage for wired and wireless users, putting in systems and solutions to prevent unnecessary choke points and allowing for optimal on-site user experiences concurrent with optimal facility transmission needs.
  • Ideally you can join and be onsite Monday April 18 for a production test in Miami.


 

Your Qualifications:


  • You have a minimum of a Bachelor or College Degree in a technical discipline and at least 3 years’ experience working in an Audio/Visual administration capacity
  • Software development or scripting experience
  • Software/Hardware system administration experience
  • Experience in efficiently troubleshoot technical snafus and ability to prove it.
  • Knowledge and experience in video livestreaming to multiple platforms using OMS, or similar systems.
  • Knowledge and experience in 3D video capture, experience with Depth Kit or volumetric video a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with 3D video post production tools (ie, Maya, Mari, Houdini, etc) a plus
  • Knowledge and experience with music mixing, mastering, and audio NLE tools a plus.
  • You can work both independently and as part of a team
  • You are able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • You have good communication skills in French and English, both written and verbal
