Expected compensation: $75.00 - $86.00 per hour

HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire an AR Graphics Engineer to help deliver experimental prototypes that it expects to develop into a long term strategy.

The ideal candidate has programming experience with low-level games programming, i.e. C++ (not C# or Javascript) or low-level video encoding/transport (as is in use at Netflix or Zoom).

As An AR Graphics Engineer, You’ll
  • Develop and modify VR mobile graphics pipelines to include streaming over a wired or wireless network.
  • Test pipelines on mobile compute architectures.

Requirements
  • 5+ years experience building system services in C++ using Android AOSP
  • Experience with multi-threading programming
  • Experience in writing unit tests
  • Experience with Android internals, frameworks, and services (AOSP)
  • Experience with Android SDK, NDK, JNI, and IPC mechanisms
  • Experience with Android performance tools and security models
  • Experience with memory optimizations on mobile devices
Commitment:This is a full-time 12-month contract position (with the possibility of extension or conversion) staffed via HireArt and based in Burlingame, CA. It will be fully remote and is available to candidates who can work PST business hours.
