QinetiQis seeking aMachine Learning Engineer to join our team of well qualified, diverse individuals at our Lorton, VAlocation. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical analytics expertise, excellent communication skills, and a high attention to detail and quality of work. Your Contribution to Our Mission: Working with machine learning (ML) applications, developing models and software, familiarity with data structures, data and image analytics algorithms, computability, data complexity and computer architectures. Analyze and trade various machine learning approaches, develop new algorithms tools, perform and manage end to end design and SW implementation and work with a team of various backgrounds and skills. Track and coordinate all required annual program certifications and training To Land This Job, You Need: BS or MS degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Machine Learning or AI At least 3 years' practical experience in Machine Learning or AI Algorithm Development in a Defense or Engineering R&Denvironment Experience developing AI software in C++ and/or Python A strong understanding of big data concepts and knowledge of big data languages/tools Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Experience with other programming languages, e.g. C, C#, Python, Java, Ruby, Torch etc. Prior experience in a military work environment Cross platform (Linux, Windows) software development experience Hardware and software system integration experience/expertise Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: DOD Secret, Active DOD Secret or higher Clearance preferred.
