POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the development of interactive instructional media. This will be accomplished through manipulation of realistic 3D product models in the creation of animated and augmented reality learning experiences. In this role, you will work closely with the product management team and other subject matter experts to create and update graphical assets and interactive experiences that support new product releases, customer-facing training programs and e-Commerce platforms.

The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Candidates must present a portfolio of previous 3D modeling, simulation, and augmented reality development work to be considered for this role.
  • Create and update engaging, product related Augmented Reality experiences.
  • Create UV maps, lighting and texture models for application animations and AR experiences.
  • Convert instructor-led, hands-on learning exercises to augmented reality or 3D animated simulation format as appropriate.
  • Organize and manage asset libraries.
  • Adhere to AR industry quality and safety standards.
  • Define specifications and requirements for creating digital work instructions from existing 2D documents and resources
  • Storyboard and build experience flow for digital work instructions
  • Monitor performance and adoption of deployed experiences for continuous improvement.
  • Recommend design strategies that enable assets and experiences to be rapidly and easily updated.
  • Work collaboratively with management, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to prioritize development activities.
  • Manage project responsibilities on a daily basis to ensure projects remain on schedule.
  • Work closely with pilot test groups to receive and incorporate feedback as appropriate.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to maintain brand standards across all experiences developed.
  • Work closely with the training team to create storyboards, wireframes and other artifacts relative to the graphical or simulation experiences in the instructional design process.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve issues pertaining to interactive experience library
  • Perform other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or any combination of equivalent certifications, experience and/or education in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related Field
  • 3+ years of experience in a related game, simulation, 3D modeling or application development position
  • Experience and aptitude for developing using CSS3, JavaScript, and/or other appropriate programming languages and tools
  • Experience in Visual Design with 2D and 3D elements
  • Experience in 3D Modeling or CAD
  • Experience with AR headsets like Microsoft HoloLens or Magic Leap
  • Experience developing Mixed Reality, Augmented Reality and/or Virtual Reality applications
  • Experience developing, programming, and supporting content for training simulations
  • Competence in image editing (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Highly enthusiastic person capable of building strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Good spatial skills and a well-honed sense of color and design
  • Highly creative with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and an aptitude for technical concepts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct daily supervision.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in goals and objectives.
