Group/Division

The Global Service Support Organization (GSS) team headquartered in Milpitas, CA is our service organization that consists of Service Sales and Marketing, Spares Supply Chain management, Field Operations, Engineering, Product Training, and Technical Support. The GSS organization partners with our field teams and customers in all business sectors to maintain the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. Our comprehensive services include: proactive management of tools to identify and improve performance; expertise in optics, image processing and motion control with worldwide service engineers, 24/7 technical support teams and knowledge management systems; and an extensive parts network to ensure worldwide availability of parts.

The successful candidate will work with a fast-paced team of Mixed Reality (MR) designers to build 3D training experiences for KLA tools. You will use some of the latest technologies including Microsoft Hololens 2 and other devices to develop and deliver MR training for KLA.

This is an exciting new role that is central in changing the way KLA trains service engineers. This is a great career development opportunity for CSE/TSE and Manufacturing Engineers.

For this role, applicants should have experience with BBP tools - candidates with Surfscan, Rapid and FaST experience will be considered.

Duties Include
  • Reviewing maintenance procedures for suitability to AR/MR training.
  • Coordinating with AR team to Storyboard the AR experience.
  • Building and testing MR training experiences – virtual overlays on real-word tools.
  • Directly collaborating with multi-functional teams to support the development of innovative training and certification content that meets business requirements.
  • Writing and refining process and procedures for AR/MR development.
  • Reporting on the progress of projects.
  • Driving innovation to increase the adoption of AR and MR and produce the most effective training and performance support solutions. This role will influence change across the entire organization!
  • Motivating and encouraging the team to success.
  • Ability to instruct KLA technical courses occasionally.
Skills/Abilities Needed
  • Ability to decipher a range of technical sources like manufacturing or engineering documentation, procedures, and specifications to develop highly organized training material.
  • Ability to track tasks, actions and provide regular updates.
  • Ability to make decisions independently with minimal or no support from direct or indirect managers. Show independent judgment in developing methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for attaining results.
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully across various functional groups.
  • Know how to develop relationships and communication across cultures and geographies.
  • Record of working efficiently and effectively in a matrix environment with multiple direct and indirect managers. Ability to drive alignment among multiple team members with conflicting requirements.
  • History of handling complex problems demanding higher-order critical thinking skills including analysis and evaluation of alternatives, solutions, and approaches.
  • Meticulous, with the ability to assess the big picture.
  • Demonstrate a very high level of motivation and willingness to take initiative.
  • Strong written and verbal English language skills and ability to communicate comfortably with international audience.
Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree or 4 years of work experience, Bachelor's Level Degree or 5 years work experience.
