As a member of the Microsoft Mesh team, you will be on the cutting edge of building Mixed Reality devices and services.  Our goal is to deliver the best human presence experience into the digital world. We are bringing live 3D video and avatar experiences to metaverse users. To do this we must capture and relay real-time audio and video data between users, delivering with low latency, high signal quality and high performance. You’ll work hands on with Mixed Reality devices like the HoloLens, Oculus 2, Windows Mixed Reality devices and cloud services like Microsoft Mesh. In this role, you’ll see a direct link between your work, product growth, and user satisfaction. The work on this team is highly visible and very rewarding. You’ll be making science fiction into science fact.

Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain code changes in multimedia networking
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that solve customer problems
  • Support and mentor more junior teammates
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent level of experience with algorithmic complexity
  • 5+ years of professional development experience
  • 3+ years of experience in C++ development
Preferred Qualifications
  • 7+ years of professional development experience
  • Experience shipping multiple versions of client components
  • Experience with media, networking and/or real-time systems
  • Experience with WebRTC, audio/video synchronization, real-time communication, video or audio codecs
  • Experience with Unity, Unreal, or other 3D gaming engines

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
