Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in Product Management with technical products.
  • Experience building prototypes for experimentation and validation of hypotheses.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience working on consumer electronic products and embedded systems.
  • Experience working with engineering managers on new software development.
  • Experience developing software for custom hardware (i.e., hardware and software interdependency).
  • Experience turning software performance, including optimizing ML-powered software stacks.
  • Experience building products that rely on strong security and privacy guarantees.
  • Knowledge of the AR field with an interest in AR technologies.

The Augmented Reality (AR) Team works on consumer electronics and Google’s central role in this ecosystem. We build innovative hardware and software to help make computing more perceptive, immersive, and accessible. Part of our team's mission is to build experiences on tightly integrated hardware and software stacks that enable the use cases and features in the AR space. Our team works to develop products that let our customers get more out of the real world.

As a Product Manager, you will lead our product experiences. You will work on hardware definition, software requirements, tuning, and user journeys.

The Google Augmented Reality team is a diverse group of experts tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and building helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Spec the hardware modules for our roadmap.
  • Define the quality bars for software performance and user satisfaction.
  • Lead software development and tuning, including ML-based techniques, to meet user needs.
  • Drive user journeys that relate to parts of the product
