VentureBeat is looking for an experienced writer/editor to cover enterprise metaverse technology for technical decision makers.

Spurred by advances in things like headset hardware, 5G,  AR, and hybrid work, the idea of an emerging enterprise metaverse has captured the imagination of technology thought leaders.

The person in this job will be mandated to cover one of the most exciting frontiers in technology, but will also be tasked with covering what it means in the here and how. Indeed, there are plenty of ways the metaverse is already taking shape, even if enterprise leaders don’t use the word “metaverse” to describe them. Advances in AR, VR, MR (mixed reality), virtual collaboration and work, and communications are all part of this enterprise metaverse beat.

You have to enjoy covering enterprise technology. You’ll also need a critical eye, an ability to develop leads, and a knack for delivering scoops of insight. You should have a talent for covering deeply technical topics in a way that readers of all experience levels can enjoy and understand.

For this role, a demonstrable publishing history on enterprise applications and technology is required. Some other areas of interest to our readers include machine learning, neural networks, and other data technologies.

A readiness to cover the major tech giants as well as the little companies is a plus, as is public speaking, event moderation and other video and in-person live events.
