Creative Director, Virtual Experiences
Come define the industry at the forefront of experience design. Huge is looking for a Creative Director, Virtual Spaces, to join the experiential team. You’ll lead creative concepting and execution for immersive virtual spaces - from complex XR products to rich brand metaverse experiences.
This role will lean heavily into defining the journey, virtual brand expression, and human-centric experience touchpoints from experience concept to detailed execution. We’re looking for someone comfortable directing world building, 3D brand expression, and UX designs. Bonus if you have experience with motion capture, animation or video production, and product development best practices to drive toward a holistic human-centric visionary experience that creates value for both brand and audience at the intersection of technology and virtual space.
Creative Directors are the driving force and lynchpin of our innovation and play a critical, hands-on role in the work – from bold ideas to launch. They lean in where it’s needed and partner closely with our emerging experience engineers and strategists to make huge moves with our client partners. This position supports experiential projects across the globe. As such, this role is a remote work from home set up, however travel for critical meetings, physical prototyping, and final fabrication may be required.
What We’d Like To See
- A robust background with 8-10+ years experience in a client facing, creative leadership role in an agency environment or gaming company.
- Demonstrable creativity in virtual experiences and 3D assets, with an eye toward purposeful use of XR technology to intersect both brand and human needs.
- Recognized expertise in highly visual, immersive experience design with a product mindset
- A strong working knowledge of the fundamentals—interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand development, marketing and the creative process—as well as new platforms and technologies in virtual spaces.
- Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels of both internal and client organizations.
- Strong ability to provide clear creative direction and timely and helpful feedback to drive ambitious thinking while keeping work on budget and schedule.
- Proven leadership skills. We need people who are confident with everything from team building to mentoring to guiding creative talent still learning how to think beyond flat design.
- Strong ability to prioritize work and resources across engagements based on short- and long-term needs. Flexibility (and creativity!) when things change and as new constraints emerge is paramount.
