As new and exciting experiences emerge, like the metaverse, AT&T has high aspirations to use advanced connectivity technologies like 5G, Edge Computing, and Fiber to ensure we are the leading network for consumers, developers, and creators working to deliver the next generation of experiences.

We are seeking a change agent with a strong consumer marketing and technology skill set, who can build relationships with new external metaverse (immersive experiences, AR/VR/MR) partners to position AT&T as the leading network in this space and ensure that we are driving value from the huge investment we have made in our network.

This is a leadership role within AT&T 5G Ecosystem Development team that requires understanding of the big picture and complex strategies, along with developing actionable plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategy development and provide thought leadership for end-to-end business development on behalf of AT&T with new partners across the consumer metaverse ecosystem, including metaverse platforms, XR hardware and services.
  • Uncover & understand key partner & customer user stories and requirements, guiding the co-creation & design of proofs-of-concepts and products
  • Guide product development teams to trial and launch products and services with partners
  • Research technology and industry trends to understand potential partners and solutions to help AT&T establish a unique and sustainable value proposition
  • Lead business proposals for target partners based upon a solid understanding of AT&T 5G and Advanced Connectivity capabilities
  • Guide internal cross-functional teams across marketing, go to market operations, public relations, product development, business, legal, and AT&T labs to trial and launch new products & services.

Education Requirement: Bachelor's degree. Preferred in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field of study. MBA Preferred.

Work Experience: 7+ years of experience in emerging technology business development or marketing. Experience with consumer technology, product, or technology development desired.

  • Strong technical and business background with the ability to quickly learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience overseeing new and emerging partnership deals and the business development process from outreach to contract execution.
