Job Description
Expected compensation: $67.00 - $77.00 per hour
HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire an AR/VR Prototyper to research, design, and create prototypes in required areas, including augmented and virtual reality.
In this role, you'll build and enhance prototyping platforms in partnership with other prototypers and technical teams.
As An AR/VR Prototyper, You’ll
- Research, design, and create interactive prototypes.
- Collaborate with other technical teams to build and enhance prototyping platforms.
- Set up and maintain prototypes and present them to various audiences.
- Communicate analyses them to your cross-functional partners.
- Give and solicit real-time feedback from others in order to approve the quality of the product.
- Partner effectively with PMs, engineers, user researchers, content strategists, and QA, overseeing the implementation of the user experience from product conception to launch—as well as post-launch design support.
- Contribute to strategic decisions, working with the Design, Product and Executive teams.
- Create product-ready assets for internal rapid testing and external release.
- Advocate for product design throughout the company.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
- Experience with real-time 3D development
- Skilled in 3D game engines like Unity and Unreal
- Experience with game development and AR/VR
- Experience coding in C#
- Strong programming ability in one or more of the following languages (e.g. C#, C/C++, Python, or Java)
- Strong ability to visualize in 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design
- Previous experience using the computer to create layouts and generate new images
- Expert problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Creativity, verbal/written communication skills, and problem solving ability
- Knowledge of using design tools like Figma and Sketchfab is a plus
- Knowledge of Design and Editorial tools in Unity is a plus
Commitment: This is a full-time, 6-month contract position (with the potential for extension or conversion) staffed via HireArt and based in Seattle, WA. It will be fully remote until offices reopen and is available to candidates local to the Seattle area.
