Ballistic Digital has an exciting opportunity for a Virtual Reality/Extended Reality Applications Developer to support a government program in Williamsburg, VA. 

This position is part of an exciting new team being set-up to push the limit of Virtual Reality in the training realm. You will be involved with creating immersive user experiences to enable learning on specific identified digital/technological issues.

Security clearance:

• Secret clearance with TS eligibility.

What we need from you:

o   Serve in a small project-oriented team to create custom AR/VR experiences for enterprise use cases, including for adult learning.

o   Collaborate with the Government client and other developers and experts to evaluate project needs and to devise creative solutions.

o   Experience with the design and implementation of user interfaces

o   Writing well-documented, reusable code for use in the Unreal/Unity game engine

o   Diagnosing, documenting, and fixing bugs reported by testers and users

o   Experience with industry standard source control systems such as Git/Jira

o   Stay current with the latest trends and advancements in VR/XR, leveraging that knowledge to recommend suitable solutions that will meet Government requirements.

o   Working with Lan Manager to ensure coverage of lab during scheduled hours.

Qualifications:

•       Minimum of three out of the last five years or working experience OR a bachelor’s degree from the last two years in the VR/XR field with finished VR/XR experience projects.

•       Knowledge and application of game design principles such as game architecture, GUI layout, DirectX, and OpenGL.

•       Ability to develop in Unity3D, Unreal, or other 3D development related codebases.

•       Creativity in finding solutions to abstract design problems, particularly with respect to translating real world concepts and interactions into VR/XR.

•       Capacity to prioritize tasks through self-directed time management and organizations.

•        Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and a team-player attitude, sound judgment, and solid situational awareness.

•        Flexibility and a self-motivated work ethic in working in a dynamic environmental and handling multiple technical and administrative tasks.

•        Excellent organizational and communication skills.
