Emeritus is seeking Program Leader in AR/VR Development and 3D Graphics for NYU Tandon School of Engineering. The Program Leader is a subject matter expert and shapes the student experience, guiding students through their learning journey. Candidates must have industry experience, demonstrated knowledge of the course subject area, strong interpersonal skills, and previous experience in a teaching, mentoring or other instructional role. This position is a part-time remote role.


Course Description


  • The Professional Certificate in AR/VR Development and 3D Graphics for NYU Tandon School of Engineering, provides participants with the essentials and fundaments for developing in Unity to build exceptional AR & VR experiences. Participants will also learn to use scripting to create, navigate and customize 3D graphics assets to construct interactive virtual environments. Participants will be provided with a deeper understanding of XR technologies and the XR essentials needed to build experiences in a game engine and create a presentable prototype. By the end of the program participants will gain understanding of what enhances the front-end user experience, how to edit and optimize 3D assets and develop knowledge of the mathematics applications needed to create and customize 3D experiences.


Responsibilities of the Program Leader include but are not limited to:


  • Respond to group and individual questions about program content and assignments.
  • Conduct interactive webinars to stimulate student learning.
  • Provide assignment feedback on a select number of assignments in the program.
  • Monitor student discussions.
  • Collaborate with the Emeritus team to solve unexpected program challenges.
  • Suggest improvements to ensure content is communicated clearly, accurately, and effectively in videos, assignments and collateral materials.


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of extensive work experience in the field of XR, AR/VR, creative technology or any related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • Expertise using Unity and knowledge of basic and vector fundamentals.
  • Experience developing, building, and interacting with VR/AR technologies.
  • Experience developing game engines using XR architecture.
  • Experience creating high-definition visualization and managing virtual worlds.
  • Experience facilitating and teaching preferably in an online environment.
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and people skills with an ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain a mutual comfort level while working with a diverse population.
