interdependencies are managed and all expectations are set.
Concretely, the XR developer will achieve the following objectives:
Objective Expected Outcome Dimension
Delta technical Analysis for
leading Glasses ( nReal, A3,
Vuzix,etc.)
Test the different leading brands of AR glasses in regards to
relevant KPIs (resolution, POV, illumination,...) and assess the
degree of support for the Perfect Spectacle reference design
1 man-month
Delta technical Analysis for
Anchoring Tech (AR DK,
LIGHSHIP, SPACES, AR CORE...)
Test the different technologies for AR anchoring, and asses
pros/cons in regards to what should be used in the Perfect
Spectacle reference design
1 man-month
Delta performance analysis MIFI
vs. Smartphone vs. Neckband
Test the QoE KPIs (latency, jitter, UL, DL, heating, lifetime,..) of
the different devices and assess the degree of readiness to
support AV/VR streaming
1 man-month
Blue Jeans Remote Assist on top
of reference design
Enable/Develop adaptations to support the Blue Jeans Remote
assist on the Perfect Spectacle reference design
2 man-month
Execution of Niantic SOW to Validate the Verizon glasses + neckband + EDGE 3 man-month
accelerate outdoor gaming on
glasses
pre-commercial combo with a Niantic’s AR
application/experience. Validate the 5G pre-commercial
neckband with the Niantic’s AR glasses reference design
Support the EBC demos Enable and support the EBC to showcase neckband use cases
(establish environment, and e2e setup)
3 man-month
Validate Google Trial Test virtual OS from Google on GCP to validate the Google
findings and baseline it (latency, jitter and QoE KPIs)
2 man-month
Cloud XR integration on different
platforms
Test functionally and performance (latency, jitter, no spikes,
optimal compression) of cloud XR client on the different
platforms (EDGE VR over neckband, and neckband itself on
perfect spectacle)
