Augmented Reality (AR) Developer - Snapchat / Lens Studio

We're looking to add an experienced lens developer to our AR Team. In this role you will specifically be developing lenses for Snapchat, including selfie lenses, gamified experiences, gyroscope, shopping, and innovative portal experiences. You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of advertisers and brands to help bring their ads to life through Augmented Reality. Must be well versed in developing lenses in Lens Studio.

Requirements:

• Expert in developing lenses in Lens Studio (Snapchat’s platform) 
• 5+ years of experience in AR/3D
• Ability to model, rig and animate 3D assets for real-time rendering
• Experience in GIT version control system
• Ability to work from mockups and references to create models, materials and texture maps
• Ability to perform retopology on dense meshes to create low poly and efficient assets
• Familiarity with the PBR pipeline and texture mapping
• Simple skeletal rigging in addition to blend shapes where required
• 2+ years experience with Maya, Blender, 3D Studio Max or similar FBX compatible software
• Great written and oral communication skills
• Javascript, HTML and CSS knowledge
• Keen visual eye and attention to detail
• Experience working with social platform AR studios (Facebook’s Spark AR, Snapchat’s Lens Studio, Tiktok’s Effect House)
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite
• Advanced compositing skills (After Effects, Nuke, etc.)
• Experience in real-time engines (Unreal engine, Unity, etc.)
• Scripting skills (Javascript, Python etc.)
• Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment

What you’ll do:

• Develop AR experiences for brands on social platforms
• Work within platform best practices to create the most optimized AR experience for clients
• Communicate with clients and assist with any questions regarding AR specs and process
• Define clear processes to ensure high-quality and efficient creative executions
• Provide art direction for AR related projects and communicating to concept artists and developers from end to end
• Researching new tech implementations and innovating on AR executions
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to strategize on how to effectively scale and operationalize AR offerings

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong design background
• Good communication skills, proven ability to work in a team
• Ability to work with vague briefs or frequently changing creative direction
• Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
• A self-starter, collaborator and team player
