Position: Back End Developer

Groove Jones, a world-renowned and award-winning studio specializing in Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, and Interactive Entertainment technologies, is currently seeking a person to take on the role of Back End Developer The ideal candidate will have a helpful, proactive, and supportive work ethic. You will get to experience the latest cutting-edge technologies and work with exciting clients. This is a contract role - preferably local to the Dallas area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop back-end components to improve functionality of existing systems
• Understand requirements and provide technical solutions
• Writing effective, scalable code integrating with other applications

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• 3+ Years of back end development experience within a Game or Application development team
• Experience building web applications, backend infrastructure, data pipelines, and/or machine learning models
• Comfortable setting up and managing AWS systems
• Experience in developing data processing tasks
• Experience with real-time communication including WebRTC, signal R, Web Sockets
• Experience with .Net MVC, NETCore
• Experience with networking multiplayer games
• Experience with Razor Pages, Blazor or React
• Thorough knowledge and experience with databases including SQL, MySQL and NOSQL (DynamoDB)
