3D ARCHVIZ ENVIRONMENT ARTIST

Location: Atlanta, GA with remote availability

Compensation: $40,000 - $60,000 annual plus bonus

Job Type: Full-time/Exempt

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

We’re hiring a 3D architectural visualization artist that has deep knowledge in real-time rendering. We use a highly iterative real-time production workflow to not only produce marketing content, but also to help our clients collaborate and make design decisions before and during construction. You will own individual projects through their entire production process and work collaboratively to improve artist workflows. You will get to:

• Create high quality models of newly designed and under-construction projects from architectural drawings
• Heavily iterate on models & materials alongside our clients to help them achieve a perfect design
• Produce static and real-time content for our architectural customers
• Proactively identify artistic and technical challenges and present possible solutions to the rest of the team
• Work with project managers to ensure a realistic and efficient production schedule

Software skills:

• UE4 or another real-time engine – expert, including:
• How to achieve photoreal static lighting
• The mesh pipeline and editor
• The PBR material pipeline and editor
• Best practices for UV lightmapping
• How to create cinematic rendering through Sequencer
• LODs and VR optimizations
• 3ds MAX or Maya – advanced
• Adobe Photoshop – intermediate
• Adobe After Effects – intermediate
• V-Ray or another offline renderer – nice to have
• Substance Painter/Designer – nice to have
• SketchUp, Revit, AutoCAD – nice to have
• Speed Tree – nice to have
• Git – nice to have
• SourceTree – nice to have

You will have a leg up if you:

• Can read architectural drawings
• Can read/write UE4 blueprints
• Can read/write C++ for the UE4 engine

This position also has fully remote availability, provided the following qualifications are met:

• Must have a secure home office or dedicated workspace, free from background noise & other distractions
• Able to work with the eastern time-zone full-time hour requirements
• Able to perform with minimal supervision, having a self-starter mentality
• Fast home internet (>50 Mbps up and down)
