Chief Technology Officer

Employer

Job Description

Gaize is building the first poly-drug real-time impairment testing platform. W'e’re starting with cannabis as it’s being legalized rapidly, but there’s no test that can detect active impairment. This presents not only a large market opportunity, but a chance to solve an important societal challenge as well. A reliable solution to roadside cannabis impairment testing is fundamental to full cannabis legalization, and vital to maintaining safe roads and safe workplaces. We’re 100% focused on leading the way in this area, and are looking for a CTO that cares about this problem to join us. If you’re an experienced technology leader who agrees that cannabis should be legal, and that impairment testing is fundamental to that effort, we’d be happy to hear from you.

Gaize is a funded, early-stage technology startup, so you should be familiar with startups, and high risk/high reward environments. Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent communications skills, exceptional competency throughout the technology stack, and should be ready to work hard. We don’t have time for B-players or job hoppers. You’ll be well compensated, respected, and expected to rise to the occasion. This is a unique and extraordinary opportunity to be part of a high-performance team and to pursue a society-altering mission with unique technical challenges.

We’re seeking a Chief Technology Officer who will own the successful development and deployment of the Gaize product. Following modern product development practices, you will be responsible for building stable, polished, and user friendly solutions to complex problems. The work will leverage large amounts of data to draw defensible conclusions about tests performed using virtual reality hardware. You must be experienced in building a rockstar team and delivering above expectations, on time, and on budget. As part of executive management, you will be expected to embody steady, measured leadership in all things.
