Senior Gameplay Programmer

Krikey, an AR gaming app, is seeking a Senior Gameplay Programmer to join our growing team! In this role, you will report to the Games Team Lead, and be focused on building out our app’s infrastructure, working on new feature updates, debugging & fixing bugs, as well as new game titles. Note: By applying to this position you will have an opportunity to share your preferred working location for this position from the following locations: California, Arizona, Hawaii, New York, Pennsylvania, Utah, Florida, Texas, Maryland, Georgia.

Role:

• Work closely with the Team Lead and QA teams to resolve bugs and develop new features.
• Write functional and reusable code according to our best practices guidelines.
• Collaborate cross functionally with Mobile (iOS and Android), Design, Backend, and 3D Art teams to build out features for Krikey.
• Document process & communicate smoothly with the team

Skills:

• Excellent knowledge of Unity and C# with at least 8+ years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of object oriented design, design patterns, 3D Math, and data structures.
• Extremely meticulous and clean coding standards
• Strong debugging and testing skills.
• Experience with Performance optimizations using Profiling tools.
• Experience with mobile game development.
• Released a few commercial titles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proficient knowledge of code versioning tools such as GitHub.
• A responsible, passionate, and dedicated person who can work well alone as well as with team members.
• Familiarity with CI / CD practices and tools (we use jenkins)

Nice to Have:

• Released mobile titles for Android and/or iOS
• Experience with ARFoundation (ARCore/ARKit)
• Experience writing Shaders

Krikey was founded by sisters (Jhanvi and Ketaki) in 2017. They have previously worked at YouTube, Facebook's Oculus and Google X. Jhanvi holds a BA, MBA from Stanford and an MFA from USC, and Ketaki holds a BA, MA, and PhD from Stanford (in virtual reality and game development). Ketaki was named to the Forbes 30 under 30 list for gaming in 2020. Krikey was named to the Fast Company list of Best Apps and Games of 2020. In 2021, Krikey won the UserTesting Outstanding Small Business Illumi Award.
