We are seeking a talented individual for a 3D Vision & Augmented Reality (AR) Engineer position within the Algorithms & AI team. You will work closely with other Research Scientists, Software Engineers and UX Researchers to develop innovative solutions in the areas of robotic-assisted medical procedures. This will be an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in solving complicated problems and for next-generation robotic platforms!

Core Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for prototyping and developing the Computer Vision (CV) algorithms on the sensor data captured from AR devices.
  • Build and establish the data processing and visualization pipelines for connecting hosts (PCs/Servers) and clients (AR devices), using programming languages such as Python and C++.
  • Develop and integrate machine learning frameworks for medical AR applications.
  • Implement and verify algorithms and pipelines in both benchtop and clinical settings.

Required Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Computer Vision, Robotics, Machine Learning, Computer Science or relevant fields.
  • Experience with working on AR devices such as Hololens and MagicLeap.
  • Experience with integrating CV and machine learning algorithms into AR applications.
  • Good understanding of CV algorithms, such as 3D scene reconstruction, segmentation, object tracking, pose estimation.
  • Hands-on experience with using Unity and developing CV algorithms for real-world applications.
  • Good coding experience with Python and/or C++. Adequate knowledge of using C# for AR development.
  • Exposure to robotics.

Qualifications

Desired qualifications:
  • Familiarity with sensor fusion techniques for pose estimation.
  • Experience with medical robotic systems.
