Red Rocket Studios produces high end visual and media experiences for its clients. Projects range from print to screen, anything from a 70’ spherical dome video presentation to multi-target AR/VR trade show experiences, 360 immersive VR video as well as 3d technical animations and touch screen interactive kiosks. Each project is usually a unique experience and no two projects are alike. Red Rocket always strives to bring their clients the latest and most cutting edge technology for their projects. To do so requires the 3d Artist to have full knowledge of all the tools currently available and aggressively pursue ways to implement new to market technology.
The 3d Artist is responsible for the development, execution and delivery of 3d visual designs, modeling, texturing & animation. They possess excellent visual design skills, technical prowess and demonstrate self-motivated strategic problem solving. The 3d Artist is a team player that can communicate effectively, clearly articulate ideas and possess a commercial understanding and awareness.
We expect the 3d Artist Candidates to have a minimum 4-6 years of experience of delivering design solutions for various clients. The candidate must thrive working in a collaborative team environment as well as working solo.
Required Background and Skills:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications or related field
· 4+ years in-depth knowledge and experience of design with various forms of media ( video, broadcast, digital, 2D / 3D animation, AR, VR, web, print and various display methods).
· Portfolio/Examples of completed design, modeling, texturing and video/animation/3d projects
· Expert technical knowledge/experience working with Adobe Creative Suite & 3d applications (C4d, Maya, Max, z-brush etc. or equivalent)
· Strong 3d Modeling, texturing and lighting skills
· Knowledge of working with Unreal engine, CAD files, SketchFAB
· Motion graphics design and experience a plus
· Experienced in high paced working environments and managing tight deadlines
· Creative, clear thinker with an eye for detail and a passion for design
· Self-starter / Self-motivated
· Ability to listen and accept criticism
· Team player with the proven ability to work with internal and external teams
· Agency/studio experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
· Work with different formats of CAD files with the ability to optimize and convert files using the appropriate software. These files would then be brought into Cinema 4D (or similar software) for further optimization, texturing, lighting, and occasional animation.
· Managing & prioritizing projects to complete on-time and on-budget
· Apply conceptual and technical thinking to create industry leading visuals
· Work directly and collaborate effectively in-house and out-of-house with the creative director or art director, designers, project leads, clients and prospects to design concept to completion experiences.
· Play an active role in meetings.
· Continually strive to exceed client expectations.
· Proactively identify business opportunities, latest trends and technologies.
· Knowledge of web based technologies and mobile operating systems and platforms are a plus.
· Must be willing to work in the Orlando office
