Job Description
Instagram AR Design is a multidisciplinary team of designers, 3D artists, illustrators, animators technical artists, and creative coders dedicated to creating innovative, compelling experiences for today and tomorrow.The role of ‘Designer’ will be responsible for contributing to the overall process of AR development, translating original concepts into compelling interactive experiences that will resonate with a global audience. This person is an expert in their craft, can adapt to various styles and mediums, and is highly motivated to create tools and experiences in augmented reality.
Designer, AR - Instagram Responsibilities:
- Work alongside product teams to define creative opportunities for AR on Instagram
- Guide product development through concept sketches, storyboards, product mock-ups, high-fidelity prototypes
- Deliver compelling visuals in various styles and mediums such as illustration, photography, video, animation or other media (as appropriate)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement a creative vision end-to-end
- Generate ideas, inspire your teammates, critique respectfully, and open to feedback
- Able to meet multiple deadlines, prioritize work, and keep projects moving forward
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working at a creative agency, an in-house team, or editorial environment with experience in two or more disciplines: 2D/3D design, motion graphics, interactive/game design
- Proficient in creative tools such as Photoshop, After Effects, Figma, Maya/C4D, SparkAR/Unity
- Understanding of product design fundamentals including UI/UX, accessibility, and user research
- Experience working in AR/VR or interactive design with an understanding of technology requirements and workflows
- Presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills, with experience communicating concepts and designing decisions
- A link to an online portfolio showcasing your work
