Ardent Blue Technologies is a software development and staff augmentation company doing business since 2011. We have secured well recognized Fortune 500 clients in a number of domains including game development, game/film/architecture tools, game anti-cheat, IoT, VR and others.


Due to tremendous growth, our client in Virtual Reality Training simulation is seeking a full-time Technical Artist for an Interactive Studio. The Technical Artist will be working with the Engineering and Art team to design and implement creative and visual quality to each project on all phases of the VR development cycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and maintain internal content pipelines and tools to support and improve the workflow of the artists
  • Prototype, develop, and optimize shaders to hit visual and performance targets
  • Offer technical expertise, identify development risks and bottlenecks at design meetings
  • Support development vendors by fixing asset bugs and initiating pipeline solutions
  • Act as the bridge person between instructional design, art, and development teams throughout the entire lifecycle of simulation development
  • Solid organizational skills regarding file structures, naming conventions, and established protocols
  • Develop content creation guidelines and help implement best practices
  • Perform R&D on new technologies to maintain consistent aesthetic and technical quality across all areas of development


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years in gaming required
  • Advanced experience in Unity and C#
  • Extensive experience with creation tools such as 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, Substance Painter, and others
  • Advanced working experience with version control systems such as Git or Perforce
  • Experience developing with VR/AR a definite plus
  • Links/Github or Portfolio that demonstrates your work that has shipped: tools, VFX, shaders, content pipelines


BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Worked on a AAA shipped Game
  • Experience designing and implementing pipelines to integrate assets into a game engine
  • Scripting language in Python or others is a definite asset
