We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Artist to come join us in delivering the next wave of holographic experiences in an exciting new project.

Responsibilities

The Microsoft Mixed Reality Central Art Team is looking for a Technical Artist with experience in rigging expressive characters. Stylized faces with a wide range of emotion and body rigs that hit tough poses easily would be great to see on your reel. We’re looking for someone with experience with skin weighting and creative rigging solutions who is responsive to the needs of the animation team. Some Python scripting experience would be ideal.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • 3 years of professional experience using Maya
  • 3 years of professional experience workng with Unity Game Engine
  • 2 years of professional experience with skin weighting
Preferred Qualifications
  • Motion capture experience
  • Scripting experience would be great, but not necessary
  • Exoerience with Augmented, virtual, and mixed reality would be great, but not necessary
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:  Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
