Comhar Technology Group is an Irish company with a multitude of specialty services, which we provide through our subsidiaries. Through our departments: Comhar Design, Comhar Education, and Comhar Operations, we act as an outsourced solution for drawing management, Building Information Modelling (BIM) management, Building Information Modelling (BIM) development, and Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality (VR/AR) training simulations.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Setting up and developing the 3D models with client based meta data.
- Management of project CAD files, drawing registers and issue sheets.
- Managing the project internally and coordination with Engineers and Designers.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Coordination with external consultants and design personnel.
- Attending regular project meetings and training workshops
- Manage updates and redlines to schematics & aligning the BIM with 2D redlines.
- Keeping project folders updated and organized to suit client BIM Standards.
- Production of 2D and 3D design models using industry-standard modeling applications using Autodesk Revit & Plant 3D.
- Liaising with clients and contractors on project related queries.
- Running Dynamo scripts and liaising with developers for enhancements to Dynamo scripts.
Education/Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience working with Revit / AutoCAD design office environment.
- Have a recognized qualification in BIM or Engineering.
- Experience liaising with and coordinating external service providers.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Ability to learn quickly and prioritize workload is essential.
- Friendly and people orientated.
- Good organizational skills.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to be self-motivated and independent; as well as ability to work cohesively within a team.
Minimum Requirements:
- Understanding of MEP systems
- Experience working as a CAD Technician within a MEP team.
- Ability to produce all 2D and 3D design information in 3D.
- Experienced and proficient with AutoCAD suites, Revit.
- Experience and knowledge of Revit is necessary.
- Experience/knowledge of BIM360 and cloud based worksharing for Revit.
- Experience/knowledge of Plant 3D.
- Must be competent at time keeping and willing to work remotely.
- North America based.
Compensation and Employee Benefits
This position is as a self-employed team member with the possibility to become CTG regular staff. Compensation will be based on the hours worked with a regular schedule of 40 hrs/week with some sporadic overtime work required. All hours worked will be paid at base rate. As a self-employed team member, the incumbent will be responsible for their statutory work-related payments like social security, income tax and others. All major USA holidays will be observed (Labour Day, Christmas, etc.) and will be paid.
Please note that as this position will begin as a freelance team member. After 6 months the position will be evaluated and a decision will be made whether to bring the team member on as a full-time employee with a benefits package.
