Expected compensation: $73.00 - $84.00 per hour
HireArt is helping the world’s largest social network hire a Program Manager (VR) to support its VR-based program.
In this role, you’ll report to the program’s Executive Producer, helping to manage and steer it.
This is a highly cross-functional role, which requires collaboration with external creators and internal teams to grow the initiative and build awareness.
You will be responsible for communication with internal and external stakeholders, documenting projects and reporting on their status. You’ll also create project one-sheets, gather assets and copy for promotional materials, build program presentation decks, manage the company’s internal community, and strategize around new ways to build the vertical.
The ideal candidate for this role has a strong background in program management and is familiar with the VR landscape. A background in the VR industry or non-profit sector is a plus.
As a Program Manager (VR), You’ll
- Manage and grow the internal community, including its wiki and Workplace group.
- Measure and report on project impact.
- Organize and manage the library master files and assets.
- Track and promote programming, internally and externally.
- Provide feedback on in-progress projects and evaluate pitches for future ones.
- Manage and communicate with internal and external partners.
- Revamp and maintain the program’s website.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years relevant work experience in product management, VR or video production, and/or non-profits
- Experience with managing websites
- Capacity to work autonomously, drive processes independently, and move projects to completion
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience with content management systems and file storage solutions like Dropbox and Google Drive
- Flexibility, agility, and willingness to take on multiple areas of responsibility in an evolving and occasionally ambiguous environment
- Verbal and written communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills as well as attention to detail
- Strong ability to work independently and manage your time
Preferred qualifications:
- Well versed knowledge of the current VR landscape, especially on the social impact side
- Technical knowledge of VR headsets and file types
- Experience with VR production
- Experience working in the non-profit sector
Commitment:This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt. It will be fully remote to start and is available to candidates who can work onsite in Atlanta, GA; Boston, MA; Austin, TX; the Bay Area, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL; Dallas, TX; New York, NY; Seattle, WA; or Washington, D.C once offices reopen.
