Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Game Design, Computer Science, Engineering, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Computer Animation, Visual Effects or related curriculum or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.. 7 years experience in 3D Modeling, Real-time Simulation, or related technical discipline. A Masters degree may be used to offset one year of experience requirement; PhD may offset two years of experience. Position Purpose:Provide technical expertise and operational support in one discipline for Gulfstream's Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) application and system development associated with research, design, development, manufacturing, training, product support, sales and/or marketing of Gulfstream products and services. Contribute to, and sometimes lead, project teams to help conceptualize, develop and deliver next-generation interactive experiences for internal and external customers.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions:
  • Collaborates effectively with teammates and other assigned stakeholders to create products that embody technical excellence and that result in high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Performs and oversees testing and performance tuning activities.
  • Troubleshoots and documents system failures, following predetermined action and escalation procedures where applicable and creating such procedures where they do not exist.
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation and process documentation in accordance with department practices.
  • Takes actions to ensure that all systems and processes comply with provided security policies.
  • Responsible for leading assigned AR/VR efforts of moderate complexity within established scope.
Additional Functions:
  • Assists end users installing and configuring software applications on supported hardware. .
  • Responsible for the operation, availability and security of assigned production systems in Gulfstream's AR/VR environment. .
  • Assists environment principal/solution specialists and department management with planning activities. .
  • Monitors AR/VR opportunities throughout GAC and proposes technical solutions that align with business goals. .
  • Maintains technical relationships with multiple hardware and software vendors. .
  • Works with direct supervisor, mentor, other exempt professionals in the group or department, and other AR/VR groups in the company. .
  • Effectively conveys technical concepts both verbally and in written form. Effectively conveys technical concepts both verbally and in written form. .
Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements:
  • Development for Traditional Immersive Projection Technology such as CAVE / Powerwall is preferred.
  • Development for Head-Mounted Displays / Smart Glasses is preferred.
  • Development of end-to-end AR/VR applications is preferred.
  • Object-oriented Programming in a language is preferred.
  • Experience in modeling, materials, UV mapping, illumination, tessellation, FPS optimization and scripting is preferred.
  • Experience with integration of multiple hardware and software platforms is preferred.
  • Experience with UX Design methods is preferred.
  • Experience with the development of software for emerging technology and R&D projects preferred.
  • Experience developing interactive applications for manufacturing, marketing or design preferred.
