Position Description

Job Summary:

The Real-Time Developer will work on a variety of games and interactive projects including real-time attractions, AR/VR projects, and other interactive installations relevant to the themed entertainment industry. This job is based in our office in Orlando, Florida. Applicant must either live in the area or be willing to move to Central Florida and work from the office daily.

Essential Functions:

• Work with the digital media team to take games and interactive projects from concept to reality in an agile work environment.

• Build and refine the real-time projects that are technically accurate to designs and direction.

• Build databases, AI systems, and gameplay mechanics/systems.

• Own major aspect of feature design in both development and live venue operations.

• Make critical programming decisions to produce the best quality product.

• R&D new products and attractions.

• Work on internal pre-visualization tools, including VR, CAVE, RAVE and other unique outputs.

• Iterate quickly and address feedback from internal directors and clients.

Job Qualifications and Requirements:

• Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, game programming or comparable experience with Unreal Engine or Unity.

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.

• Will not require Falcon’s Treehouse, LLC to commence (“sponsor”) an immigration case in order to be employed (now or in the future).

• Demonstrated proficiency in C++ programming and blueprint system in Unreal

• 3+ years of experience working in Unreal within a production environment.

• Database experience as it relates to game systems and interactive experiences.

• Experience with JIRA, Agile, or other SCRUM based workflows.

• Strong understanding of Perforce and managing projects with version control.

• Excellent communication skills at all levels, both technical and creative.

• Python scripting experience a plus.

• Linear Algebra, 3D math and shading languages (HLSL) a plus.

• Knowledge of VR rendering techniques and experience with AR/VR systems, such as Vive, Oculus, Gear VR, Hololens, is a plus.

• Self-motivated, strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
