About VIATechnik’s Cirrus Studio:

Cirrus Studio creates bespoke enterprise and project software to drive digital transformation within the AEC industry. Our mission is to support and accelerate VIATechnik’s guiding principles by automating our industry from the ground up. We seek to revolutionize and simplify the digitization of our built environment by creating insights from data analytics and machine learning; building more efficient workflows through automation, integration & optimization; and improving creativity with generative and computational design logic. Our work includes creating best-in-class standalone applications, custom integrations, add-ins, and web applications that bring enormous impact to our clients.


The Role:

We are looking for a Product Manager (Software Development) who can lead our software development projects and present digital solutions to real-world problems in the AEC industry and beyond. You will be a key member of our software development team, Cirrus Studio.


In this role you will:


  • Work closely with the studio lead, other product managers, and software developers
  • Identify and help platform customers understand the business model, value, and value proposition
  • Collaborate with stakeholders during discovery sessions and analyze their needs
  • Develop scope and define backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide our development team
  • Create and maintain an appropriately prioritized backlog of user stories for implementation
  • Produce appropriately detailed specifications for the product features so they are clearly understood by the development teams
  • Solve product-related problems, make decisions, and manage software developers to deliver proposed projects in a timely manner
  • Be responsible for meeting project deadlines and requirements
  • Independently maintain and update your own work
  • Be willing to expand your knowledge to new areas to complete given tasks


Apply if you have:

  • 3+ years of experience in product management of software development
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop relationships with team members and our clients
  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Strong ability to develop concrete detailed scope items as well as a product roadmap from conceptual needs/requirements of clients
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum practice
  • Knowledge and experience in working with cloud services such as AWS and/or Azure
  • Availability to work out of Chicago, New York, or Boston office when circumstances permit


Even better if you have:

  • Understanding of AEC practice and software
  • Experience in working with Jira/Confluence
  • Experience guiding user flow, user experience, and user interface design via Figma


We are open to candidates near Chicago, New York, or Boston.


The pay for this position is a minimum of $130,000, and the role is eligible for bonuses. The actual salary offer may be different as we carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
